About Nadia H. Tonova
Founder and Principal
Nadia H. Tonova is the Founder and Principal of NHT Consulting, which empowers leaders and organizations to thrive through coaching and consulting. Nadia loves working with growing and transitioning organizations to imagine their futures and focuses much of her work on strategic planning and visioning, as well as creative program development that meets the unique needs of the communities her clients serve. Passionate about caring for those who work on the front lines, Nadia uses her executive coaching to support nonprofit and social justice leaders in their professional and personal growth while fighting burnout and centering joy in their lives.
Prior to this, Nadia served on the leadership team of ACCESS, the nation's largest Arab American nonprofit organization, for over a decade. During this time she was responsible for numerous teams and coalitions, organizational strategies and visioning, capacity building, fund development, and the launching of new and innovative projects. She also has years of experience supporting small nonprofits across the country in organizational growth and development through her previous role as the Director of the National Network for Arab American Communities. She launched the Campaign to Take On Hate, a national grassroots campaign challenging bias and prejudice facing Arab and Muslim Americans, and was instrumental in launching MOVE, a national summit for social change.

Nadia is a Certified Associate Coach with the International Coaching Federation. She was the founding Board Chair of Michigan United and a founding board member of Mothering Justice. She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit, the Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Yearlong Fellowship, and the Coaching Fellowship. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Theory from Michigan State University and her master’s degree in Near Eastern Studies from Wayne State University. She currently lives in the Metro Detroit region with her husband and three beautiful children.

In our work with individual leaders, we provide transformative coaching that focuses on the entire person. We believe that when a leader grows from the inside out, the results powerfully reverberate across their lives, teams, organizations, sectors, and movements. We support you in identifying and/or clarifying professional and personal goals. We then walk along side you as you implement practices and concrete plans to achieve those goals.
In our work with teams and organizations, we start by deeply listening to your needs, challenges, dreams, and ideas. We then work with you to identify and refine short and long term goals and understand your unique strengths and opportunities. Finally, we partner with you to create concrete strategies to reach those goals and operate at peak performance.
